Hi Rajmund,

The button is the last on the screen and with a smaller phone like the 5S it may very
well be off the screen, I have a 6S Plus and it is right there at the bottom. You might
want to try a 3-finger swipe up first after you follow the steps I described, i.e. from
Messages double tap More Info at the top right, then double tap the Contact name/phone
number button which is one swipe to the right of the "Done" button. I mentioned
the 4-finger tap because it would jump to the bottom of the screen, but if you can't
manage it do a 3-finger swipe up and then check near the bottom of the screen, the Block
button is definitely there.

hi,
the 5s is honestly too small for 4 fingers of my size, but even a read all
misses the button.
if the contact is saved, it might be different.

It's easily done from the messages app:

Double tap on the thread where you want to block the number (this can
be a number or a contact) Now double tap on "More Info" at the very top right of the
scree, as soon as you do it becomes a "Done" button.
Flick right past "Done" and the next item is a button which either is the
number or the contact name of the person.
Double tap on that, now to a 4-finger tap towards the bottom of the screen and Voiceover
puts focus instantly on the "Block Caller" button which is the last item on the
screen.

Hello,
And how do I do it in iMessage, please? Facetime, fair enough, you can use the
same method. I mainly want to block and unblock contacts in iMessage, that
think it's a good idea to annoy me badly enough to block them. I don't use
contacts, so this individual happened to also not be in the contacts. But with
the phone, I have just found no ways.

I'm not sure my explanation went through.
You do not have to add to contacts first.
In the phone app, double tap on recents, find the call you want to block,
flick up with one finger more information or flick right to more information
then double tap.
Touch in the bottom left corner on favorites, do not double tap, just touch to
get focus there, then flick left with one finger and you are on the block
contact button. Double tap and confirm and it is blocked.

Hello,
Under IOS10, I have to add to the contacts, to block. IOS9, (the iPad, I mean,

You know, since upgrading to IOS 10, I haven't been able to find that
either. In 9, I used to be able to find and select the number and
flick down with one finger to find the block caller action on which
to double tap. Since 10, I can't find that selection anywhere. We
shouldn't have to go all the way into contacts to do this when we
have not made the call a saved cotact

, and I don't plan to save to contacts just to be able to block the caller. I
am receiving calls from solicitors and don't want their calls.
