I would start by doing a simple reboot of the phone as in turn it all the way off, wait 30 seconds and turn it back on. If that doesn't help maybe try the hard reset (holding power and home buttons together for about 6 or 8 seconds). If I do an iOS update I have gotten used to always doing a reboot. Yes, the phone reboots as part of the update, but I have seen small issues too often which were fixed by a reboot so now after the update finishes and I'm back on the home screen I always turn the phone off for 30 seconds or a minute and then turn it back on.
