Check your volume by moving your finger around on the screen and turning
it up on the side using the buttons. I say move around on the screen
because that would make VO talk and you'll be controlling the media
volume instead of the ringer volume. Nine times out of ten this is what
happens when you're not hearing speech. Siri volume is independent but
it could be down as well. If this doesn't work you can use the triple
press of the home button to see if it turns VO on. Be sure to press it
three more times if VO doesn't come on in case it's already on.
