After you enter your passcode, can you hold down home and get anything? Go into settings and Siri, and make sure it didn't get turned off, and also that it is set to work on the lock screen. If it is on hold the home button down for a couple seconds and ask Siri a question that would involve more than a one or two word answer, and immediately after releasing the home button start tapping the up volume. If you do there's a chance that the siri volume is turned down all the way. To check this hold down home and listen for the chime. When you hear that ask siri a question. then turn up the volume using the side keys to see if you get siri speech that way. Siri volume is separate from everything else. I wasn't sure if it was turned on, so I flipped the silent switch on the side and it vibrated when I did that. I tried, swiping, tapping, etc, but no response. I called the phone from my land line and it rangt like normal, but it also vibrated. I double tapped and it 'answered' the call. No talking of any kind occurred..it did not tell me who was calling. Does anyone have any idea what I have done to silence the voices? Help and/or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
