Hi Donna, Well, my good friend of mine said that it is beter to have the Messenger app itself to have it there because it will better and easier to use. I use the Mesenger app more quickly since. More good friend has the knowledge about it with the iphone that it recommend to have the Mesenger app to be added on your iphone and/or ipad. Hope this help you. Cheers, Scott Dollar
