Then the difference is probably in the country, I know I updated Facebook a few days ago and that I currently have no updates, but I am in Canada and maybe some of these new features are not available here.

With the Facebook app open: along the top I have camera, search, clear & messenger. The tabs along the bottom are from left to right are news feed, videos, market place, notifications & more.
