Hi All, Another good service to purchase talk, text and data is from Consumer Cellular. If you don't use a lot of data, talk and text it is pretty cheap. You pay for what you use. I have 250 minutes, unlimited text and 500 mb of data and it only cost me about $25 a month. If you want to add another line and share the talk, text and data it is only 10 for each line. Again you pay for what you use. Mr. Ed

In addition, T-mobil also will just sell you prepaid talk minutes with no data, and you can just use your smart phone at home with wifi. My problem with T-mobil is their lack of coverage ... my brother-in-law uses them, but can't use his phone in my house as just one example of a place where they don't cover. It is a mobile virtual network operator off the T-Mobile network. It is available only in the United States. I found it using the website MVNO News, which identifies the companies with the best deals. The price includes Chicago taxes and will likely be lower in the rest of the country. I pay a severe premium for living in a socialist paradise with its outrageous taxes. MVNO news also lists deals from other carriers, including a new deal from a Verizon MVNO.
