No. Once you have selected the product channel, you simply point the camera at a product until it starts beeping on the barcode as it beeps faster you might hold steady or pull back slightly and it'll click into processing and give you the product name and then if you swipe right to the more info button and double tap you may find lots of details about the contents of the package cooking directions if available etc. Richard
