OK fixed it.  Not sure how but I don't think my screen was locked but now it
is and it works.

I wouldn't  expect this to have affected calls, but there's a bug where if
you have speak notifications in lock screen enabled, do not disturb doesn't
work. It wakes up your phone and speaks the notification.

Try turning speak notifications in lock screen off and see if that resolves
it.

OK I have calls from no one which I had.  I do have repeated calls on
because if there was an emergency they could call within three minutes and
the phone would ring.  Will turn that off and try calling and let you know.

First off, when you turn dod on in settings, are you then locking your
screen? This function will only work once the screen is locked. Since you
have nothing in your favorites. It may be a good idea to go to settings,
notifications, then find do not disturb. Click on it, once in here find
where it says, allow calls from favorites, doubletap on it, go in here & set
it to no calls. Also as Wayne suggested, make sure that schedule is not
enabled. Give this a shot & give us a full report.
