A scissor lift is a piece of heavy ride on equipment that is used in warehouses or stores that lifts a person to a shelf that a tall ladder wouldn't be able to reach or it is used to change light bulbs in places that a ladder can't reach. The platform in which the person stands on fans out like a pair of scissors when opened.
