Hi Sieghard,
I finally figured it all out. I could not get it to work on a friend of mines
until I figured out you had to have VO on. He would have like that feature. I
am surprise they only have that feature work automatically with VO on. I guess
the sighted world is out of luck. They will have to push the button to go to
the speaker phone. LOL
Thanks for all your assistance.
Mr. Ed

Hi Ed and others,

Most of the feature has been explained. The person who said she hates it and
wish she could turn it off can now do so following Mike's instructions, the
ability to turn it off was introduced in iOS 10.
The only other thing I would add here and that's quite important is that if
Ed's friend is sighted they won't be able to enable this, the automatic
switching from earpiece to speakerphone is only available if Voiceover is
running.

Regards,
Sieghard

Hi Mr. Ed,

This is where you'll find the setting for when the phone switches to the
speaker phone when you move the phone away from your ear, & it switches to
speaker phone.
Settings / General / Accessibility / Voice Over / Audio

If you want the phone to switch to the speaker phone when you take the phone
away from your ear, have this setting turned on.
Take care. Mike. Go Dodgers!

Hi Group,
When I receive a call I can hold my iPhone 6s plus away from my face and hold
the phone flat and the caller will come out of the speaker. Then I can put it
back up to my ear and it will automatically come out the hear piece speaker. So
my question is how or where do you turn this feature on to have it do that. I
have a person that want to turn this feature on . I cannot find it in settings
as I must not be looking in the correct place. Anyone have any idea’s as to
where I turn this on at?
Mr. Ed
