When the people at the Apple store transfer the data from an old to a new phone, do they simply back up the old phone to iTunes, or do they have software more sophisticated than is available to the public. I know, for example, that iTunes does not back up the music on my phone, it only lets itself know where to go to find that music on my hard drive, so it can be restored. Or, I think this is the way it works. So, i the Apple store transfers the data from one phone to another, this music would not be transfered? I want to know before I wish I had known. At the moment, the computer on which this music resides cannot be used to restore a new phone. Thanks for any information.
