Speaking of Audible accessibility, there is a bug currently which I have
verified with Audible. A couple of updates ago they changed the method for
deleting books from your device and to put it bluntly, it does not work. I
am running the beta of IOS 12 on my 6S and 11.4.1 on my eight and the
problem exists on both version. They are aware of the issue but have not yet
fixed it, so please send them feedback on the problem. I used Audible
extensively and need to be able to delete.

I agree with Mary's and Richard's assessment, but Devin is also correct in
saying that the statement " Updates are just as likely to break the app as
improve it" is a bit broad. Typically when the word "break" is used it
refers to accessibility and definitely there are a lot of companies and
developers who have prooven that accessibility is important and their apps
have continued to be just fine for years. Sonos is one example, Audible has
been good for many years and there are lots of others.

Richard, you nailed it. I continue to use VDR because it’s the best thing
out there as far as I am concerned. But I am not at all anxious to have to
rebuild this library yet again. Smile. So if there are other features other
than the ones mentioned in the release notes on the App Store, I’m
interested to know what those are. Or do I have to have this update when I
go to iOS 12? It didn’t say that. So I assume I’m going to stick with what I

library will not get screwed up yet again.
As far as accessibility goes, yes, Voice Dream is one of the best. The
fact that Mary didn't dump the app completely after the second time of
having to rebuild a huge library says a lot for how good Voice Dream is
compared to all other apps of its kind.

No, I must disagree there. Updates, especially for app makers like Voice
Dream, LLC, who strive to make accessible apps, will not usually break
accessibility, because they have good Beta testers, and probably test the
updates with VoiceOver themselves. Please try not to spread fear,
uncertainty, and doubt about updating most apps. Sure, apps like Messenger
have had major problems in the past, but that's because of arrogant
Facebook not taking accessibility seriously, in my opinion. .
