Apple patent describes both Face ID and Touch ID on the same iPhone; Face ID on an Apple Watch https://9to5mac.com/2018/12/17/face-id-and-touch-id/ Fine and dandy, but we're living in the hear and now. Face ID isn't all that, but it's what we've got and it works well enough.
