Hi Joshua,
I laud your efforts to practice on screen typing on your iPhone but you need to tweak your settings so you don't need to provide your Apple ID password every time you wish to acquire an app from the Apps Store. To do this: 1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone's main screen. Even though this feels like screen page 1, it is actually page 2 in the iOS world. 2. Double tap the Settings button or icon to open it. 3. Single finger swipe right through the various vertically stacked setting options until Touch ID and Passcode has focus and then double tap to open it. 4. An on screen numeric keypad opens in about the bottom third of the screen where you will have to enter your passcode assuming you've set one up. 5. At the top of the screen that opens is a heading labeled Use Touch ID for several items including iPhone Unlock and iTunes and Apps Store. I would strongly recommend that you turn both the unlock iPhone and iTunes and Apps Store switches on so that you can use Touch ID to both unlock your phone and to acquire apps without needing to provide your Apple ID password. Granted, if you've not yet set up Touch ID, this settings screen is where you will have to provide your fingerprint in order to set this up. The process is Voiceover friendly and straightforward. Once you've set this up, when you attempt to acquire an app in the Apps Store whether it costs or not, you should be able to place the applicable finger on your home button to approve the acquisition. I hope this helps and please let us know how you fare with the process. Hi to all. I am kind of enjoying my iPhone. It is very cool when connected to WIFI to be able to get a new siri voice or voiceover voice. However, I am not able to get any apps because of me having to type in my apple ID and password. I can type on the phone after a fashion, but it is very slow. I also don't want to incorrectly type in my aapple ID password to many times in case I lock my phone again. That wasn't fun. Is there any way I can practice typing on the phone without actually doing anything like starting an already installed app. My typing mode on my phone will remain the standard voiceover method for now because I tried touch typing mode and it really messed me up. Once I get some apps on my phone, I'll be in business. I don't plan on using my phone for any kind of email checking. Thanks for any help. -- Joshua Hendrickson Joshua Hendrickson -- The following information is important for all members of the V iPhone list.
