Hi, Thanks for all the good advice. I’m starting from just outside Duluth. We are thinking maybe 400 miles a day so that would be 4 nights with 5 days of driving. If we need an extra day it won’t matter. We don’t have to be back ‘til April. Thanks, Joe

Marathon driving is OK for kids, not for people your age. Figure how far you want to drive then look for a good hotel you will reach around 3 PM which is when they start checking-in. Have a shampoo, shower, and relax before supper. Or have a swim in the pool. Or a haircut or massage. Sitting in a car is tiring. If the car needs repairs, you may be able to get the dealer started on the work that afternoon, if they have a night shift, they may be finished by morning. Brian K.
