Hi Fanus, As Richard pointed out, it is always possible that your unit is somehow defective. I don’t think it happens often, but it’s not entirely impossible, either. As for calling Apple Accessibility in the US, if you have Skype you can call US toll free numbers for free, the only cost you have is for the data usage. I know you said before your WiFi is expensive, not sure if you get WiFi from a smart hub which uses cellular data, but people have to realize that not everybody lives in the US, Canada, Australia, new Zealand or most European countries where having a good and for the most part unlimited WiFi connection is taken for granted. Even in Canada this may not be the case if you live in a remote or rural area. My family, for example, have a cattle ranch in northeastern British Columbia. The closest town where you find any decent shopping such as a few super markets, hardware stores, office supply stores etc. is 130 Km away (that’s 80 mile sfor those in the US) and that is one-way. With winter driving conditions that can be an almost 2 hour trip and while there is reasonably good cell phone coverage at the ranch, the only internet they can get is either by satellite with a company called XploreNet or by using a smart hub which connects to the cellular network (usually it’s slow LTE, but sometimes it drops down to 3G) and the plan my Mom has, for example, gives her 3 Gb for $45, if she is over 3 Gb and below 5 Gb it goes to $55, between 5 and 10 Gb it goes to $75 and if it’s over 10 GB it gets really expensive. If she has an iOS update and a Windows update in 1 month that can easily be 5 Gb right there without any regular usage. This means things like Netflix or streaming music are not even worse considering and she limits checking things out on YouTube to the absolutely necessary. She also has 6 Gb on her iPhone plan and mostly she doesn’t even have it connected to her WiFi because it’s the same cellular network anyways and at least this way she can mostly keep her smart hub data for use with her computer and things like app updates are done via cellular data. Now that Apple has made it possible to download even larger apps via cellular data that is a good thing for her.
