My phone battery drained rapidly for about 3 or 4 days after the last update.
Now it is fine.
As for the Siri sounds, check that you didn't turn off sounds in VoiceOver
settings, or call Apple Accessibility and see what they say.
The Siri sounds never went away for me.

Subject: Re: Battery on iPhone 11.

I’ve been seeing some pretty rapid battery drain since the most recent update.
I figured it was on account of me having an older phone. I have an iPhone 7.

I’ve also been seeing some pretty weird issues with my sounds. For example, I
randomly don’t hear my text tone when a text comes in. I also occasionally lose
the screen clicks when flicking around on the screen. I haven’t yet reported
these issue because I can’t discern any pattern for when it occurs.

On the other hand, the battery drain is pretty much constant.

That must have been what happened, because headset worked, and I could put

But, I didn't think Volume Up worked, with no one talking. I did try turning
up the Volume Control, while touching icons to keep some dialog going.

I think there could be a point related to the update, which I finally went
on and did, because when I had it on my wireless charger, the phone got pretty
hot last night. When I started charging, it was at 54%, so it's not like it was
down in the 20's or something.

First of all, when you said you could connect a headset, does that mean you
had Voiceover on the headset but not on the external speaker?
If so then it was probably simply a matter of the external speaker volume
having dropped to 0%, this happens occasionally for no apparent reason and all
you have to do is make sure your phone is unlocked and press the volume up
button repeatedly until the volume comes back.
As for resetting the phone, it is not power button followed by volume
buttons but the other way around:
   1. Press volume up and let go
   2. press volume down and let go
   3. Press and hold the power button and count to at least 10, maybe 12 to be
safe, but no longer

As for your battery drain, just bring up the app switcher and close all
apps, then turn the phone off completely, wait 30 seconds and turn it back on.
You can make it easy and simply plug it in after 30 seconds, this will also
power up the phone.

There are a lot of factors that go into that kind of battery drain.
   1. I always turn off the Screen Time. I know how long I've been using my
phone, so I do not need it tracking every minute and sending me a report; which
is what that does. It is a waste of battery unless you are a parent,
monitoring a child's usage.

   2. Background app refresh. I turn it off.

   3. Any apps accessing the internet that have not been closed out of the app
switcher, and probably others.

   4. Raise to wake. A total waste of battery as every time the phone moves
it wakes up.

   5. Auto Brightness, in my opinion, should be left on so that if you use the
screen curtain, it will take itself to 0. I know there are lots of people who
do not believe that saves battery, but since lowering the brightness is said by
Apple, will use less battery, logic would say if the brightness is at 0, that
will use the least amount of battery for the screen.

And, if you did an update recently, it can take several days before it is
done indexing everything.

There may be more things, but that is what comes to mind.

   Subject: Battery on iPhone 11.

Last night, after a phone call, first thing, my speakers would not work on
my iPhone 11, just from the telephone ear slot in the phone. I could connect a
headset, and it Siri would not work either other than screen display, "what can
I help you with?" would work.

I called Time and Weather, and when it was talking, I disconnected the
headset, and the speakers worked. But, when the call ended, back to the same
problem.

I could not remember exactly how to reboot, but pushed in the Power button
and then Volume Down and Volume up. No change. My husband and I tried getting
the phone off, never seemed to be able to do that.

Some way, this morning, I got it back working, sort of finally came back on
its own, Siri too. But, now the battery is losing about 3% every half hour.

Somehow last night, I had managed to open Wallet, which I had a hard time
extricating myself from. This morning, I did go into it and turned it off,
since I have never used it. If the time comes that I intend to do so, I can
always go in and turn it on.

So, anyone have any idea what could be running in the background using
battery? There is nothing in App Switcher.
