As for foreign TV channels, no such luck. There are really no actual TV channels available, just services like Netflix, YouTube, internet radio stations etc. There are some sports related things, but since I am not into those I don't know much about that. But I think just the ability to Airplay from your phone to the TV and having access to your iTunes library on the TV etc. is worth the $99. There are also rumours that probably not too long in the future you will be able to install apps on the Apple TV and that of course may open the possibilities for more TV options.
