Like Christopher, I'm using the Outlook app with my gmail account with IMAP. I was not prompted for anything other than my sole email account when setting up Outlook. Well, let me clarify that last statement. I wasn't prompted for anything email related other than to confirm my account. It didn't ask me anything about the mail protocol such as POP or IMAP. I did have to sign into my Microsoft account as part of the installation process.
I have to say that I'm loving the Outlook app and will post another message later today commenting on it.
