Mary,

I actually think with VueScan Mobile and Prizmo, you actually could work with 
the scanning thing. As far as "word processing" I think with a bluetooth 
keyboard, Pages, and some of the other similar apps it may be possible. 
Perfect? Maybe not, but I think time will see improvements here as well. 
Obviously all this is based on what you are trying to do. I won't say you are 
wrong, but true we ain't quite there yet. :)
