Scott, Fair point. In my daily word processing I need to make use of footnotes and other reference notations, indices and other layouts, comments, track changes, mail merge, document comparisons, and this is completely independent of the spreadsheet formulaic and diagram operations I need to be able to perform. My tune may change when Office becomes more accessible with Voiceover, but for now, detecting simple elements like styles is not comparable to other products. If anyone is tackling such tasks with relative ease, by all means set me straight. Part of the issue, as someone else pointed out, is that for the moment at least the PC still dominates the workplace, and other assistive solutions have had time to mature along the way. No wrong answer here, just a difference of opinions.

There are many who would disagree with your assertions and that applies to either iOS or the Mac platforms.
