I can see how for a hearing impaired person this might make a small difference, but personally I don't care all that much, I find even my iPhone 8 sounds quite good for audio books if you are in a fairly quiet place and have the phone nearby. Otherwise I usually use a headset or Bluetooth speaker or play whatever it is through my Sonos system. I certainly wouldn't want to seriously listen to music where I would even find the best iPad sound quality lacking.
