That is exactly right, the little wall adapter and charging cable never come out of the box any more when I get a new iPhone. I do use the headset, but if they don't include one any more then Oh well, it's not a big deal, I like the Apple wired Earpods and usually have to get a new one at some point during the lifecycle of my current phone. As for are they kidding when they say that they are reducing their carbon footprint, I don't think so, these things might be small, but when you consider how many tens of Billions of these are being produced by Apple, Samsung, Google and all the other companies this is no small matter. I would be very surprised if Samsung and other wouldn't follow suit and verysoon their phones will ship without a charger also.
