Nothing happened to my screen protecter or anything, just grabbed it instantly, dried with towel, lightly cleaned with alcohol wipe, dried again and for about a minute put on hair drier, but not on hottest setting.

If it happens again wipe it dry and carry on. Worst thing which could happen is that your glass screen protector may come off. As for the Lightning port it's fully isolated from the inside, once again just wipe the phone dry, blow into the Lightning port a few times and maybe let it dry out for another half hour before you plug it in. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] <[email protected]> On Behalf Of Lisa Belville Sent: Monday, April 26, 2021 11:55 AM To: V I Phone <[email protected]> Subject: Help, What to do about a briefly submerged phone Hi, all. I'm so ready to kick myself. I know the newer iPhones are water resistant, but how resistant? I was in the kitchen cooking and had my phone on the counter so I could use the speaker phone. I moved a dish towel and woops, my phone slid off the counter and into a full sink of soapy water. This is an iPhone 12 Pro that has a Zag case on it with a tempord glass screen protector. The case has TPU bumpers on the edges of the phone and a hard shell on the back and halfway up the sides of the phone. None of the ports are protected like the battery charger or speakers. I scooped the phone out of the water as soon as it happened and was able to continue my conversation with no sign of the phone malfunctioning. It seems to be Okay, except the edges of the case where the TPU touches the screen are damp. The speakers sound Okay and all of the buttons are working. Do I put it in a bag of rice or what? Ironically, I have a day before I need to return it to Verizon. How soon can I safely plug the phone into a brick charger or should I even try?? HTH. And yes, I feel really dumb. I'm going to price Otterbox cases now. <sigh> Lisa -- Lisa Belville [email protected] -- The following information is important for all members of the V iPhone list.
