That sounds like good ideas about turning off and removing from case. I tried to remove mine, but it is securely in there. However, the phone was just floating on top of the water, and could not have been in it more than ten seconds.

It seems to be Okay, except the edges of the case where the TPU touches the screen are damp. The speakers sound Okay and all of the buttons are working. Do I put it in a bag of rice or what? Ironically, I have a day before I need to return it to Verizon. How soon can I safely plug the phone into a brick charger or should I even try?? HTH. And yes, I feel really dumb.
