I don’t really think of being blind, ever. it’s just not something that means much to me or the people I’m close to. I don’t run from it. it’s just a nonissue. it doesn’t make me strong or who I am. it doesn’t anymore define me than sight defines my husband, and there are tons of blind people I’ve talked to who have been shielded from the sighted world, which is what I meant when I said that, but this is getting offtopic now I think.
