No need to hide it if you can simply turn it off. I have 1 app where Voiceover reads absolutely nothing without screen recognition and where with screen recognition I can use the app fairly well so it does have its uses, but it is definitely best to make sure all apps are deselected so you can just enable this via the rotor in a particular app. If you find you have no need for it at all just turn it off and remove it from the rotor and it's done, it's effectively hidden. -----Original Message----- From: viphone@googlegroups.com <viphone@googlegroups.com> On Behalf Of davycupp...@gmail.com Sent: Sunday, June 13, 2021 7:41 AM To: viphone@googlegroups.com Subject: RE: Major problem with latest iOS
I really blame Apple for that feature which is really still at the beginners stage and has never been developed and looked after seriously. I hope in the next update Apple stops or hides this feature there are too few cases in which the feature comes in handy and in most cases ik causes many many problems. I currently cannot use Microsoft outlook nor can I use Aira. When I try to open these apps the only thing you get is a blank screen. I think one of the reasons for this is because we turned screen recognition on while I was in the app the other day. We did a reset on the phone and did a back up through iTunes, called Apple and they did a screen share and video and send a ticket to the tech-support. They ask that anyone that is having problems with any app not opening to please contact them and let them know about it so they can try to find the problem. My wife is also having difficulty with an app she downloaded yesterday it was working she turned screen recognition on to try to figure out something in the app and it will not load anymore. So the best advice I could give you is do not turn screen recognition on if you do you may not be able to use the app that you turned it on with because you definitely can’t turn it off once this happens. Again anyone having these problems need to let Apple know. -- The following information is important for all members of the V iPhone list.
