I really don’t think Apple is going to utilize Touch ID in the iPhones going forward. Face ID works beautifully and it gets better with every release.
Apple keeps updating patents for Touch ID which means they’re actively working on it, but this also means if they keep updating the patents they haven’t found the technology to work up to their standards.
