Why don't you use Face Id, for me it works better than Touch Id ever did, but of course that is partly because I do at time use my hands for physical labour like woodworking, gardening and so on and whenever I put in a day in my woodworking shop I could forget Touch Id for the next 2 or 3 days until either the glue came off my fingers and/or all the little cuts and scraps had heeled. Face Id is actually more secure than Touch Id and it works for me I would say about 96 or 98% of the time. I do have th attention feature turned off I should add, it makes it maybe slightly less secure, but both my eyes are prosthetic and I often do not have them in at night. I have no issue with Face I d with the attention feature enabled, but it will not work if it doesn't see the eyes whereas it works just fine even in absolute darkness with that feature disabled..
