Scott, According to Jenny at Hims, you should be able to enter text into edit fields without difficulty if you set your u2 to grade 1. Leave it on grade 2, and you could have issues with the back translation of letters into words, as h for have etc. As for function key plus letter combinations to do what you can do with braille dots plus space, all Jenny said was that they know it doesn't make sense, and they're working on it. But she didn't give me any documentation regarding what actually does work at this time in that regard. Good luck.
