When I took an app out of a folder that only had two apps, it still gave a folder name, saying that the folder contained one app. Since I haven’t done this very often, I forget how I eliminated the folder name; would have to reconstruct. To get the app out of the folder, I double tapped and held on the app, and slid finger until I got the message “outside of folder, hold for five seconds to close”. From there I did the newer procedure with going to edit then flicking up to drag for dropping the app where I wanted .
