AppStore and iTunes store are essentially the same for purposes of those card; so long as it's not the Apple Store card which is Apple's online store to buy the real hardware object. Bet the previous card could have bought an appstore voucher for the sake of knowing how. The buyer is going to have to read the small print fairly thoroughy this time. This is the pity why they have two different ones; I don't accept the accounting argument, any more than they check what sort of money it is; they just count the money and beam with delight.

These can be purchased at many discount stores, etc. If you have an Apple Online Store gift card, this is not the same kind of card. The Apple Online store features computers, phones, IPads, accessories and whatnot. It is the online counterpart to the physical Apple Stores.
