Liz, you need a new case because of the new camera button on the lower right side of the phone.
The 8 dollar case I bought I think is plenty of protection for the back, but you may want a glass screen protecter, I don’t know. I might bite the bullet and get Apple Care so it will reduce the repair price if by some chance I brack my screen, but in the 14 years I’ve own Apple devices, that has never happened. I don't fully evaluate battery life until after a week to make sure the system has settled down, but it seems most definitely better than the 13 pro. The 16 models had a bug/security patch update today, which is not unusual. Going from the 10R to either 16 model is going to be a very noticeable upgrade.
