If I use the action button and have it set to toggle silent mode, then if Ring mode is selected and I press it just once quickly, it says "Hold for silent mode". If I press and hold for a moment, it will say "Silent mode" and if I then again just press and release it will say "Hold for ring mode". If I press and hold it will then say "Ring Mode" Indicating ring mode is active. I am using iOS 26 Beta, but I am pretty sure it was like this in iOS 18 as well.
