also when phone starts getting slow, I deactivate voiceover for 15
seconds and reactivate again. Using IPhone 3gs with Ios 5.5.1 if it
helps any having the same problem.

Why is it that people resist good advice?
Apple has an excellent memory management system in the iPhone. That said, any
and all computer system memory eventually becomes fragmented. The more complex
the computer, the more the fragmentation. Whilst the iPhone did not have an app
switcher, so apps were closed automatically whenever the home button was
pressed, memory fragmentation was almost nonexistent.
You actually do not ever need to clear out the app switcher. Instead, simply
turn your iPhone off and then on again. This will reset the iPhone's active
memory.
The symptoms you are experiencing are symptoms of memory fragmentation.

Hello,
as you can see in the subject: I have the last iPhone(5) and the last software.
I discover sometimes that the letters are typed very slowly during sms/mail
while using the on screen keyboard and voiceover is on of course.
I was going to a apple shop here inBelgium and they told me that I should close
(some) opened programs.
This seems a bug since apps that aren't currently working aren't using that
much memory…
Does anybody have troubles with typing on the screen and the slow speed?
Kind regards,
William Windels
