Here is an article which goes into exactly the differences between Apple watch 11 and 12. One item which I think was not mentioned in the article is the fact that the Apple Watch 12 has larger bezels, i.e. the area around the touchscreen is larger/thicker. I was surprised by this because at least with the iPhone Apple has so often emphasized how thin they are able to make the bezels so that a phone of the same actual length and width has a slightly larger screen.
