I do believe you need to find the "OK" button on the second prompt when
deleting a contact. If you hit the "DELETE" button again I don't think it
will do what intuition might suggest. I know this has happened to me in
several different apps where I thought simply re-hitting the "DELETE" button
would do what I wanted only to find out later that was not the case.
One of the things I've learned to do (since I cannot see at all) is to do
the downward swipe so the entire page is read aloud to me. That way I'll
know if there's an "OK" or "AGREE" button to activate in order to complete a
task.

Does anyone know why after deleting a contact and then going into the
messages application the contact still appears? the only way I can ensure a
contact does not show up in the messages app is by erasing my iPhone,
If anyone is unclear as to what I'm asking lets say I want to delete my
friend Named Mack and all of his contact info I go into the phone app scroll
down to Mack and hit edit, followed by delete. I am prompted if I want to
delete this contact I tap delete .
Now if I go into the messages app and hit the letter M Mack's info is still
there listed with my other contacts whose names begin with m.
Ideas anyone?
