Len, you are right. With my 4S on ios 6, I am getting the clicks. I don't know why I didnt' notice them the first time around. My iPad can't upgrade. It is on ios 5 forever, and I definitely do not get the clicks there. It would make sense if the clicks could be muted, but not the phone. I guess it is time to write to Apple Accessibility and see what happens.
