Thanks, Kawal. This is excellent! I'm glad BrailleTouch is working for you.

Best,

Well, I've just written with the Braille touch although I've changed positions
with how to hold the phone and it's better.

resting the phone against my chest as stated by someone, thumb and small finger
being small finger underneath the bottom of the phone and thumb resting on the
edge of the phone and then both fingers pinching the phone in a firm grip and
then using the rest of my fingers to type. I have become quite fast with this
App. I have not read the help document as someone on one of the lists was good
at explaining what to do. I'm going to buy the App because at times I don't
always have a keyboard on me. A vast improvement from the other braille App.

Hi Kawal
I don't have that case, but have not had thisp problem. If you grip the phone
with your palms and let your fingers curl around it might be more stable.
That's how I do it anyway.

I'm just interested if any of you on this list have my problem?

Hi.

After reading one of the posts that the screen should face away from you, I can
do some of the letters. I have the Snap case on my phone and the I phone wants
to slip out of my hands as my fingers keep sliding around the glass. Has
anyone had this problem? I can do some letters but my fingers keep slipping
all over the place because of the glass. I don't think I'd want to do this if
I were not sitting somewhere as the phone could fall out of my hand and drop.
This is just my thinking right now. I don't think I'd want this app because of
my problem with the glass.

Hi Rick,

I guess this wouldn't work with the screen facing you because your hands
would be upside down. If you had fingers sprouting from the back of your
hand it would work well *smile*.

Hi Robert.

I also am finding this very interesting. It took me a few minutes but once
I got my head around the phone being backwards in a visual sense, I was
Brailling away with no issues. Even though I have no vision whatsoever, the
fact that the phone was facing away from me and visually upside down from my
point of view was somehow troubling me. As soon as I forgot about the
screen orientation and just worried about the home button being on the
right, I was good to go.

I can't help but wonder why this can't be done without having to have the
landscape orientation facing away from you as opposed to facing you.
I'm sure there's a very good reason for it but just curious what that
reason is. Pretty amazing app.

Best,

Hi,

It is so funny how we can have such different experiences with the same
app. I was entering text very quickly and quite accurately three or four
minutes after installing BrailleTouch. I had listened to a couple of
podcasts about it and had read the User's Guide.
I am thrilled with this app. It is awesome for me.

Well, there is a help file right there in the app. No need to go to the
website. If you take a few minutes and read that, I think you will
understand better how to use the app and won't be so frustrated. The
description of how to hold the phone is there. The special custom gestures
that enable you to get space, delete and to open the menu are there, etc.
Good luck.
