I copied this from another list, and it sounds helpful with this problem: "Well, I've just written with the Braille touch although I've changed positions with how to hold the phone and it's better.
resting the phone against my chest as stated by someone, thumb and small finger being small finger underneath the bottom of the phone and thumb resting on the edge of the phone and then both fingers pinching the phone in a firm grip and then using the rest of my fingers to type. I have become quite fast with this App. I have not read the help document as someone on one of the lists was good at explaining what to do. I'm going to buy the App because at times I don't always have a keyboard on me. A vast improvement from the other braille App." HTH, Nance Nancy Shackelford Walk On Faith & Trust In Love - Michael Reed ----- Original Message ----- From: BrailleTouch To: [email protected] Sent: Thursday, January 31, 2013 8:14 PM Subject: Re: Problems with BRAILLETOUCH Thanks, Luca. I am very open to improving the language in the User Guide. It has worked well for many people, but could always be better. To everyone on the list, please let me know if you have suggestions for how to better explain any part of how to use BrailleTouch. I am also reading everyone's posts to see how others explain things well. We want to make BrailleTouch and the User Guide as good as they can be! You dont have to put the phone on a desk, that is not the more easy position to type. And when you say you draw the shape of aletter what do you mean? you dont have to slide your fingers, only to tap, example, letter l, press simultaneously your second third and fourth finger of the left hand It is critical to understand correctly the position, then you can be quite fast in typing... The app has some latency in my opinion, but in 1'0 minute tpractice i am a lot faster than with normal keyboard... I yhave to say that gthe guide should have ben clearer, ony by listening podcast and reading various mails i understood the correct position. It is not easy to explain in words, maybe someone could do a video, so with sighted help one can see the correct position.. I have turned my I phone to the home button to the left and to the right and it makes no difference. To times the App gets it right but hardly ever. Still no letters if I drag my fingers around the screen. Kawal. I can't find the letters, for instance, if i make the shape of an F, then the App says J. I find a on the extreme right almost at the end of the I phone. I wonder what is going on? Can anyone help please? I did use it with my I phone attached to my Apex Braille Display as I'm sitting here at work. > > Kawal. > > -- > You received this message because you are subscribed to the "VIPhone" Google Group. > To search the VIPhone public archive, visit http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/. > To post to this group, send email to [email protected]. > To unsubscribe from this group, send email to [email protected]. > For more options, visit this group at http://groups.google.com/group/viphone?hl=en. > --- > You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "VIPhone" group. > To unsubscribe from this group and stop receiving emails from it, send an email to [email protected]. > For more options, visit https://groups.google.com/groups/opt_out. > > -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the "VIPhone" Google Group.
