Remember that in Gmail, folders are just labels. If a message is in a folder it's also in the All Mail folder, but there's really only one message with two labels. I don't remember if a message in the Trash folder is also in the All Mail folder or not, but it would only be there until Gmail deletes it after 60 days or so.
