Hi John, I, like you, was under the impression that the 9 volt battery holder was included. Are we wrong or was it really the case. That is how I understood it when I purchased mine. I guess we'll just have to wait and see what we receive. If it was not included, something needs to be fixed on that site because I clearly read that it came with the 9 volt battery holder
