A CD or DVD case or certain boxes should not be a problem. Obviously a box that is 6 or 8 inches won't work since it would mean it's way to close to the top of the box where your phone lies. I believe Anne or Sandy or maybe both posted scan results from a book, once again, a long as the book fits in the box it should be OK.
