It’s not a scanner. It’s basically a box that you place your iPhone on top, and your reading material underneath. You use an OCR app like Prizmo to scan your paper copy and the box holds the phone in just the right position to assist in getting a good scan. The box also has an LED to make sure that there is enough light. It can be run off of a 9 volt battery, 8 AA batteries, or an AC adapter. It’s simply a device to help a blind person to get better scanning results, but it is not a scanner.
