Hi Richard,
Don't give up on TG yet! You have to have all your settings right. So, as
Esther says: the right recognition language (by the way, i had mine
inadvertently set to Italian so I too got some strange sounding results for a
while there). No cropping and, a suggestion, don't save images.
Text Grabber is only my favourite when using the standScan Pro, I have very
little success with it free-hand. But the marriage of the box with TG is, I
think, one made in heaven! Also, it isn't just a matter of which is the best,
but rather that of having options should one or other of them decide to become
unfriendly to VO.
Lastly, TG needs accurate alignment, so make sure your paper etc is square
with the inside corner of the box.
