Hi Lisa, Tom's suggestion to use a headset if you know you have to enter a bunch of numbers is definitely the way to go. I highly recommend you get used to touch typing though, it takes some practice but it is much faster. Just make sure you don't get nervous and don't lift your finger until you hear the number you want.

Sometimes the menu voice is louder than voice over, then I have to try to turn VO up without ending the call. I hope I can get past this hurdle. <grin> The 2 most common elements in the universe are hydrogen and Bull-Crap Lisa Belville [email protected] ----- Original Message ----- From: "Thom" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Monday, March 25, 2013 7:21 AM Subject: RE: iPhone and Automated Menus > Hi Lisa, > I use standard typing. > Using a headset will let you hear what number you are on better than > speakerphone. > Go to where you think the number is, then flick left or right to go to the > right number, then one finger double tap on it. > Let me know how this goes for you. > > Thom > > -----Original Message----- > From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf > Of Lisa belville > Sent: Monday, March 25, 2013 8:05 AM > To: [email protected] > Subject: iPhone and Automated Menus > > > Hi, all. > > I'm having great difficulty using the iPhone 5 to access automated menus > like at my bank and credit card company.
