No, no, no, sighted people do NOT scroll continuously in reading apps such as
Kindle. Each page of text fills the screen. Sighted people read the screen like
a page in a book. They then touch the right-hand corner of the display which
looks like the corner of a page, and quickly slide the finger across the screen
to the left side. The display shows a graphic of a page turning whilst the new
page worth of text is being put up in the background. Once the graphic is
finished, the new page worth of text is clearly displayed.

Many experiments done over the past several decades consistently show that
people overwhelmingly prefer this method for reading rather than continuously
scrolling text. Apparently, the majority of people find continuous scrolling of
text to be stressful.
