Hi Annie. I just ordered a Focus 40 Blue and am a bit worried about what
you say below. Do you know if this is affecting all units or only a few?
I guess what I'm wondering is if this is a general design flaw, or
something seen only with a few units. From what I've seen about the
Focus 40 Blue, it's seems rather nice and so far, from my limited use, I
like the way the dots feel. I'm not a huge fan of Freedom Scientific,
but at least on the surface, it looks like they have done this one
right. I know it's too soon to tell, but I also am wondering if you or
anyone else has any ideas of repair percentages and the issues
associated with warranty issues with Freedom. I realize of course that
this strays off topic from an iOS discussion, so if it gets too involved
as things tend to do, we can certainly take this off list.

Hi Jim.
I would wait a little, and buy a brailliant, I have the 32 cells that is a
great display, it has a bug, that I have heard would be solved in the near
future.
I will really recommend a display with a good bag. The focus can fell out and
be harmed. There are problems with the braille cells. Apple has also created a
problem that makes focus a pain. You can only go to next line with the button
in the right edge of the display. If you read with your right hand, and will
use the left for going to new line it is not possible at the moment. Again I am
not impressed with the cells.
I have always used 40 cells display. I have been told that it is the best with
a long display. I have figured out, that 40 cells maybe is to long a display.
It can be an advantage in a few situations, but if you are reading much as I
am, I would really concider a shorter display. I think something about 24 cells
would be a great length for a braille display.
Cheers Annie.

Hi Folks:
I am looking to purchase a 40 cell Braille display for iPhone access. Any
thoughts concerning the best one to purchase for this purpose?
Thanks all over the place gang.
