Well, at this point in time, My best option is to use the headphone jack to
connect my ipod touch to my sound system.

Hi Russ and Arnold,
Russ, it depends on your digital connection, Optical, Coax or HDMI (which
would include video). There definitely is a Lightning to HDMI Adapter, I'm
not sure about Lightning to Optical or Lightning to Digital Coax, but HDMI
is probably your most universal since it includes video which might come in
handy and pretty much every new receiver and TV nowadays has HDMI inputs.
|here is a link to this in the apple Store:

Keep in mind that this thing is $50 and you still need an HDMI cable which
is another $10 and for $99 you could buy an apple TV which connects to your
receiver or TV also via HDMI, but it allows you to use Airplay to stream
audio and video so you aren't limited by a cable and of course it also has
lots of functionality by itself. I'd rather spend the extra $40 and get the
Apple TV (provided you do have HDMI inputs.

I am pretty sure I have seen a 30-PIN to HDMI and I would assume that there
is a Lightning to HDMI,

There may be some kind of converter to accomplish this, but I would not
think it would be possible to connect an audio system to a phone via the
lightning adapter. The lightning adapter is a digital connection, where the
headphone jack and your audio system are analog. You might consider buying
one of these bluetooth receivers that connects to your audio system, and
connecting via bluetooth.

I was wondering if anyone knows of a lightning to audio adaptor? I want to
connect my ipod touch 5th generation to my sound system. As of now, I've
been using the headphone jack to do this.
